Based upon “The Anecdote of Morphy “which appeared in the Columbia Chess Club Periodical in 1888, Morphy who was attending a dinner party in Richmond Virginia was said to be admiring a work of art in the home of Reverend RR Harrison entitled “The Chess Players” By Moritz Retzsch. Which comes to life in the mind of the young prodigy and draws the audience in to discover more than just a classic work of art.
